The First Chapter of The New Girl - a version of Twilight that I started.
"I can't believe we moved to a city called Forks." Keke groaned as she helped her sister unpack her room.
Destiniy rolled her eyes.
"You are complaining about it as if it's going to change anything."
"Shut up. How can you be okay with this?"
Destiniy shrugged. "It was a good move for mom. It's not like we could have stayed back in Miami."
As she moved around the room unpacking and staging everything, ignoring her complaining sister, she decided to finish playing I Wanna Be Down by Brandy ft MC Lyte, Yoyo and Queen Latifa.
About yey short about yey tall about so big about so small about This length about this width about this flow about this gift instinct Leading me right up your alley way skip the Moet let's chill with some Allazae nuff stress in our day let me massage your mind as my mentals Start to play a ghetto sauce who you are And I'll be your sexual chocolate bar and I got to keep it strong for the Cause and you got to keep me strong for the toss brother mad at me damn The family what else could we be when no one else understands us But me you were the first to tame me uh Big Tif I'm out
"What do you know about that song?" their mothers voice sounded in the room.
The girls turned around to find their parents standing just outside of Destiniy's door smiling at and watching them.
"A lot more than you know." Destiniy laughed.
"Mind if we join you?" Their father asked.
"Only if you can keep up old man." Keke said with a smile.
He raised a brow.
"Old man?"
"You're getting there." She replied.
"I'm not to old to get down with my girls." He laughed as he and their mother walked into the room.
Destiniy watched as her family just started dancing around her room as they helped to unpack everything and put everything away. She couldn't help but to smile and laugh as they tried to battle each other and continue to help unpack. Especially her parents. They were so happy and so much still in love with each other. Their love was real. They weren't pretending for the sake of her and Keke.
No.
They were truly happy.
"What are you over there smiling about?" Asked her father.
Destiniy smiled as her father threw his arm around her shoulders. "I'm just happy. Watching you and mom, knowing how much you're in love and knowing it's real and not you just pretending for me and Keke's sake."
Her father hugged her close and kissed her hair. "Your mother and I made your girls a promise to never lie to you and we plan to keep the promise."
She wrapped her arms around him. "Thanks, dad."
"Anytime."
After they'd finished unpavking her room and having their little dance session, Destiniy decided to relax. She laid on her bed, on her stomach with her feet up and crossed at the ankles, reading her favorite book: And Then She Was Gone by Christopher Greyson. It had been a few months since she's read it and it was time to do so again.
Just as she got the the forth chapter someone knocked on her door.
"Come in."
"Hey sweetie." Her mothers voice sounded in the room.
"Hey."
"Winchester?"
Destiniy nodded before she marked her place in her book with her Supernatural bookmark and placed it on her bedside dresser.
Her mother climbed into the bed with her, with a brush, and patted her lap. Destiniy moved up the bed and rested her head on her mothers lap and sighed. She knew her mother wanted to talk. Anytime either of them, her or her mother, said Winchester, it meant they wanted to talk.
"How are you feeling?" Her mother asked her.
"Honestly? Good. I haven't had an episode all day." Destiniy said.
"What do you think of the move?" She asked as she brushed her hair.
"I think it's going to be good for us, though Keke doesn't feel the same." Destiniy added.
Her mother laughed.
"That was expected." She said softly. "Are you ready for your first day at Forks High?"
"I'm ready and not ready if that makes any sense. I don't like being the new girl, but I also don't care either."
"I get it. I was the same way when my parents would up and move me and your uncle's to a new school."
"I really don't care for all the attention. People act as if they've never had new kids at their school before and they just stare a lot."
"That's because they're curious. I will earn you though - Forks High is a small school so be prepared for a lot of states. They really don't get a lot of nee students."
"Mom?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm alright. If I feel an episode coming on I will tell you, dad or Keke. I promise."
"I just worry about you. You're my baby."
"I'm sixteen, mom. Im not a baby, but I do understand where you're coming from." Destiniy sat up in her bed and looked into her mothers eyes. "I have a severe Bipolar Depression Disorder, but I'm not dying. I know what to do when or if I have an episode. Don't worry so much."
Her mother cupped her face in her hands. "I will always worry about you and your sister. That's my job."
"I know."
Her mother sighed and dropped her hands into her lap. "Have you had any nightmares?"
Destiny nodded.
"That's never changed, but I'm so use to them that I no longer wake up screaming."
"You know that what happened wasn't your fault, right? You did everything you could to - "
"Mom, please, don't."
"I'm sorry. Just remember that I'm here if you need me. We all are."
Destiniy wrapped her arms around her mother in a hug. "I know. I love you, mom."
"I love you, too, sweetie."
Destiniy watched her mother climb out of her bed and walk out of her room but not before wishing her a good night.
"Get some sleep, baby."
"I will."
