He seems so toxic. Misunderstood, I’m sure, but toxic in the same breath. Is she suppose to be his savior? His reason for changing to become a better man? That’s quite a lot to put on someone who’s barely been with anyone but him. He just seems to get so angry almost quickly.
The idea that it’s romantic to have someone be the savior of another’s toxic mannerisms and that THAT person is the only person that can do so, make them a better person, is a bit toxic in itself. If you think about it, in certain situations, that savior is slowly being beaten down, molded into someone they barely recognize. Why? Because they care for, and maybe even love, that person so much that they’ll do almost anything, put up with almost anything, to save them from themselves when they know the person they were before they met their misunderstood loved one never would have done or accepted such things
If someone won’t change, for the BETTER, for themselves, it is NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to help change them. They have to do it for themselves - no one else.
